About Dare To Give

Dare To Give was founded in 2009 by Benjamin Hurt and Blaine Iler. Growing up, Hurt and Iler learned the value of service, compassion, and entrepreneurship built on innovation. Upon their graduation from Southern Methodist University in 2009, facing a terrible job market, it was natural that the founders start a business that combined their sense of philanthropy and ambitious entrepreneurship.

Each product that Dare To Give produces carries a direct philanthropic effect. The first project involves selling t-shirts to Dallas organizations and SMU greek groups. For each t-shirt sold, Dare To Give donates $1 to the charity of the client’s choice.

Dare To Give is preparing to launch a new granola product. Partnering with Nekisia Davis, founder of Early Bird Foods in Brooklyn, NY, Dare To Give will produce a granola that tastes better than anything on the market. At the core of the offering is philanthropy; each bag sold will feed a hungry child for an entire day. It’s healthy, delicious, and philanthropic.
