What is Dare To Give?

Our country faces an unprecedented problem. In the midst of recession and uncertainty, Americans need to unite. Many of us don’t know how we can contribute to the solution. It may seem impossible, but we must acknowledge that it is a problem worth solving.

If we can reunite around innovative solutions, America will continue to prosper. At Dare To Give, we want to inspire Americans to act. We are entrepreneurs, recent college graduates looking to play our part in the solution. Our goal is to sell 1 million shirts by July 4, 2010. Half of the profit from shirt sales will be donated to charity.

We are doing, on a small scale, what America needs to do on a large scale. Americans acting together will create an overwhelming positive force for change. Every person who wears a Dare To Give Shirt is part of the answer. The shirt represents new ideas, working together, giving back. Most importantly, the shirt represents life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

Giving back must become an important part of American business. Each person who wears a shirt has contributed to a philanthropic cause. Dare To Give donates half of the profit from every shirt to charity. For us, philanthropic business is the rule rather than the exception. By donating half of the profit from shirt sales, we want to demonstrate the equal importance of business and philanthropy.

How can you help? Proudly wear your Dare To Give Shirt. Always be thinking of new ideas. Remember that giving back is important. Know that the solution is at your fingertips. Let's work together today and be a part of something bigger than ourselves. Click here to get your shirt.

"Building healthier lives, free of cardiovascular diseases and stroke."

While Dare To Give is establishing corporate partnerships with several American charities, we are proud to make a donation to the American Heart Association (AHA). The AHA does tremendous work to advocate for the needs of hospitals and health systems. Through extensive research, AHA is able to report and inform on the latest issues in healthcare.

Please visit AHA's website at www.aha.org for more information.

We will present a check to the AHA for half of the profit from the first 2,500 shirts sold. Soon, we anticipate partnerships with AHA and other charitable organizations in America. When you purchase a Dare To Give Shirt, you will be able to choose the charity that will receive a donation from your purchase.

Designer

Oklahoma State University graduate Bryan Cooper is a designer by day, illustrator by night. Once the sun goes down, he combines photography, sculpture and design in his unique illustration style - reminiscent of film stills from early claymation cartoons. His miniature sets and sculpted characters bring a sense of life and motion to his award-winning work, which ranges from dark-and-mysterious to colorful-and-zany.

His work has appeared in the Society of Illustrators Museum in New York City and can be seen in several books: Society of Illustrators 48, Logolounge 3, Workbook, and Directory of Illustration. He has illustrated for companies such as Phillips Petroleum, WorldCom, MCI and GE, as well as for such local events as Mayfest, MS150 Bike Tour and the ADDY Awards. When Bryan isn't creating, you can find him at a flea market with his wife and daughter or watching an old movie with Steve, his hermit crab.

Bryan designed Dare To Give's shirt now available for sale. You can visit his website at www.CooperIllustration.com.
